About Nigh

Nigh is an old English word for “near”, as in “nigh on forty years” or “well-nigh impossible”. It’s the whole game: get as near the limit as you can, without going over.

Every day there are five rounds. Name a real thing whose number sits just under the limit, and Gumnut the koala climbs a rung for every bit closer you get. Push too far and Gumnut tumbles into the leaves.

Every list is complete and every number is checked against two reputable sources, so a fair answer is never missing and never wrong. You’ll see where each number comes from at the end of every round.
